"Deep in the Earth's Plenum, I Grow from the Facula" is a series evolving from last year's studies. The idea of using the isolated elements I had been studying to make relatively large abstract pictures came with the series title (a line from a poem I wrote many many years ago) in the course of a conversation with a landscape designer commissioning a painting during her off-season. Experiments with woven and sewn elements became the "Shark Incubation" Series. Presented in Catalog, both series were produced between July 2003 through September 2004.
